At the start of this year everything lined up just so and I was able to spend a week with my friend Conor Phelan in his shiny new studio, The Green Studio.  I've been working since 2020 in the background on a new album. I'd recorded the majority of it at home and released a couple of tracks from it, Everything's Fine and Where Were You Ten Years Ago? - but ultimately I wasn't happy with the quality. They sounded passable as singles, but I feared an entire album of my overcooked 10th rate home-brew recording / mixing would have been enough to turn anyone off listening to the whole thing. I'm really happy with the album musically and I would rather you all enjoyed it without having to sacrifice your hearing.  Anyhow, thanks to some engineering magic by Conor, his gorgeous sounding studio and having somehow found the time to properly sit down and completely overhaul my mixing / mastering technique - I'm happy to report that I have something worthy of a proper commercial release. The album itself will be called "Everything's Fine", with Everything's Fine being the title track. There's a fresh recording of that one as well as new versions of Where Were You Ten Years Ago? and Dear Friend. (I'll be taking the original versions of all of these tracks down at some point before the release. If you like them and want to keep them be sure to grab a copy via bandcamp if you haven't already.) It's 10 tracks in total and 42 minutes in length. I've used an array of atmospheric / ambient sounds throughout too. I wanted the whole thing to feel like you're sat watching a movie rather than listening to an album. It's mixed for CD but could be adapted for vinyl should that ever be required. The ambient sounds trail through from one track to another in most instances making the whole thing a really rewarding experience when you listen all the way through, but I think I would re-jig if ever it went to the press.  I've got no artwork or videos just yet - but I've got plenty of ideas. I've also been documenting the entire process and am looking forward to sharing clips of that with you including a full "making of" when the album is out. I'm delighted to announce that my 2017 - 2019 singles Youth, To Be Okay, Take Me Home and Visions will all be returning to your listening platform of choice!     They'll be up and about in the next couple of weeks or so. I've also taken the time to remaster Youth, To Be Okay and Take Me Home. Just some minor tweaks, the mixes are the same - but the audio should make for more comfortable listening. Hopefully. Unless I've ruined them. I'll let you be the judge. Mind you they're all set to go so if they're crap its too late!

Not to worry though. I have a new track in the works. Or out of the works? It's basically done put it that way. Sitting here in a Travelodge a couple of hours from home listening to it and building the new website. I figured one place for everything is better than a few bits and bobs scattered across the usual platforms, so here it is! It's bare bones but I hope you like it. One day it'll be full of crap.
